Dodging Bullets at the Triple B!

So recently I've had the opportunity to explore new culinary locations around Nexus thanks to my job here with the DNN. While sampling delights within the Dominion would be easy enough I figured wouldn't it be quite delightful if I could truly see what monstrosities exist on the other side of the battlefield. While I doubt I'll find anything truly masterful I'm sure there must be something to eat over there besides rocks, berries, and flower pollen; That IS what Aurin eat after all, is it not? This will be my first entry in a series of exploration of locals across Nexus starting with the somewhat infamous Sunday Brunch Location known often as the Trible B, or Bullets, Babes, and Bekkn. Yes, that's Bacon with a K, it's not cubacon, It's Bekkn. It's an aurin thing I suppose.

I dressed down accordingly in as casual attire as I could manage from my wardrobe. I had one of my servants even tear a few holes at the knees of my pants and throw some dirt on me before I left for the local to look more the exile type. I arrived in a pleasant enough location that smelled of engine grease, this “Bekkn” and the smells of breakfast. The place was small and quaint really and well packed with people despite it being a Sunday near noon Eldan Standard Time. I soon had ordered up these pancakes wrapped around sausages served with a rather sweet syrup. A granok at the location had a huge plate of them and was offering samples to everyone. I fear the trivialness of the name escapes me for the time and I dared not take notes on my Datachron for the amount of grease that was with the food! Grease and circuitry do not mix. Two Aurin were running the counter and kitchen being friendly to most along with many aurin patrons and even a few ex-cassians enjoying the food. The kitchen was hidden behind a curtain else I imagine it would have been smothered in grease and dirt like no other.

I was near time to leave when things got interesting. I had nearly finished my plate when to my surprise comes in a chua in a red hat through the door. He had a coat on with the C.O.G.S. Symbol on the sleeve but that didn't stop nearly every weapon in the location to be drawn and focused on that Chua. I even joined in and pointed a pistol, when in Cassus after all. The Chua was a quick talker and, much to everyone's surprise, unarmed! I think that's a first for me. He, She, It soon enough had things quieted but on edge with the patrons there. One aurin even took the Chua out front to scan them. I was surprised the Chua came back in in one piece. I do not know what happened out there but the aurin was friendly enough with them afterward. The Chua soon was sampling from the granok while their order was made which evidently was a “Little bit o' everything” or something like that they called it. Imagine a much heavier lowborn accent saying that and you might have a gist of just how it sounded. No, more Lowborn than that, really Lowborn. There, I think you've got it now. It was brought out to the Chua in about five boxes by one of the aurin. The poor thing couldn't even see over the top of them! I pondered helping but chose to just drink the rest of this swill they call coffee, or maybe it's kaffee there, they do seem to like their K's. It must be an Aurin thing, yes? It tasted like grease and flowers regardless. The Chua evidently was suggested to take the meal to go and one aurin even escorted them out. It's just as well for the furry little traitor. Maybe it was shot after that but I didn't see a body when I left so I suppose it made it away safely.

Now to end this summary of the Triple B. If your doctor recommends you to add an extra cup of grease to your diet every day consider going! Though definitely dare not wear any Dominion colors to the location. It's easy enough to reach and far enough from Thayd one can make the local safely enough but it is very much an Exile roost that someday shall bend to the might of Cassus and the Emperor! All hail the Emperor!

(( OOC Notes! This article was written tongue in cheek with the mindset of a very snoobish Dominion review of a location they would be looking for everything wrong they could manage. The location is at the plot of Alyssia Swiftwind and is open around 11am on Sundays until the place quiets down. It's an excellent spot to find some nice people, the food really is designed to be very good, and while it can be cross-faction it is by far a location with an Exile bent to it. So be warned anyone visiting the local. Alyssia Swiftwind is an excellent host as is the staff of the Triple B and I do recommend them if you're around on Sunday and looking for something to do late morning and early afternoon and not adverse to meeting some Exiles. Two thumbs up for the location reacting as they did to when the chua arrived too, that's EXACTLY the proper kind of response really, there is a war going on after all and chua did burn a whole home-world down. Keep up the good RP at this local! ))
