Draken Tribute: Shezka

This month’s Tribute to the Draken god Shezka was held at the arena of Shelkhan Dunestalker. The councilors of the Dreadtalon Tribe, Astoreth Dunemaw, Jazad, and Nishka sponsored the tribute in the true Draken tradition of combat; fought with bladed weapons and full-body-armor.

The opening ceremony, given by the spiritual leader Nishka, was held as the participants from every race knelt in respect.

"Well, here we are, half a year since blade was swung and we cheered along to a bloody time. But the time has passed and our gods been praised, so it brings us to this again; the traditional rhyme.I look to you now, faces old, faces new, and every face steeled for the fight. And steel you should, as soon your name be called and arena beckon for your fight. We honor Shezka, she who swings the mighty blade. And so shall you if it is the title victor you crave. Now I'll save my breath from further make you suffer. For Shezka cares for only that which will make you tougher! Stand up now and abandon your silence, and replace it with furious thunder and ready. . ."

"FOR SOME VIOLENCE!"

"NOW GET UP, AND START BEATING EACH OTHER! SHEZKA IS WATCHING."

The arena cleared and the line-up was set. The true showman, Golah Jo of the Red Tail Collective, took to the mic as the announcer. The combats ran side by side through all the rounds. The battles were bloody and hard fought, many stepping forward to prove their worth...or settle some aggressions.

The previous rounds showed Molluh Brightspear decimating their enemies and Councilor Astoreth Dunemaw slashing their way through waves of opponents.The last round had people on the edge of their seats. With Brightspear declaring themselves for House Dalakan and the Councillor fighting for the honor of her people, the fight began with a loud crowd and anticipation in the air. It all ended with a winning, yet horrible strike, with a sacred Lopp spear to the torso of Councilor Dunemaw.
