Lady Aster Dashkova.
The Past.
Aster was born into House Dashkova. The House once held great wealth and reputation, but after a few recent generations of entitled spenders, all that remains is the respect of the name, some lands, and a manor in disrepair. Aster now carries one of the oldest bloodlines, but no longer has the fortune to maintain it.
No matter her actual wealth, she was raised in a constant state of looking the part. Her parents raised her like any other Highborn; schooling, lessons, music, etiquette, and politics. It was difficult and the family took on debts as Aster was told that she would be expected to deliver the family from its issues through marriage or a benefactor.
Her formal education was in the realm of sciences; botany, Eldan technology, and religion, and has an education in psychology.
At the age of nineteen Aster enlisted into the military, joining the Crimson Legion to get right into the thick of things and away from her family. Her training as an Esper was perfected in boot camp and she took on a combatant role, not finding any skill in healing. She served six years, landing a few years ago on Nexus to spend her deployments in Whitevale and Wilderrun. At first, she took solace in hiding within the ranks, away from obligation. There she befriended soldiers of every race and background. She achieved the rank of Sergeant before an incident where a ranking officer of her unit defected with a few others in her presence.
With trust lost for a time, she attempted to change units, never feeling right after the incident. She continued to trudge on until deciding to resign from her commission and return to life at court. That lasted about a week before she began searching for a house to serve or possibly even return to the CL.
Once out of military service, Aster entered into the ranks of House Dalakan, a patriotic paramilitary noble house. She worked hard to represent her Lord and Lady, Corestus and Sylyss, through action and word no matter the theater. She served for a time as Diplomat for the House.
Current.
With all things comes change and Aster embraced said change by marrying Vincentio Thorne, a lowborn and now Lord of House Dashkova. House Dashkova is slowly growing under their leadership as they strive to find their place.
With the aid of her business-minded husband, Dashkova Industries has been born and acts as a conglomerate group hosting holdings, media, and the charity group known as the Dashkova Foundation that Aster heads up personally.
She also functions as the Editor-In-Chief for the Dominion News Network Affiliate (DNN) located here on Nexus.
Beliefs.
Aster is a believer. She is one of the faithful, loyal to the Scions, Eldan, and the Church. Patriot, loyalist, and zealot have been a few words to describe her intentions at times. She believes that in unity the Dominion will achieve perfection.
She also is disgusted at the state of her fellow Highborn. Their cruelty, vices, and abuse have pushed her over the edge. Aster believes that those that are to inherit Grace should be strong, noble, and good leaders. Not the mockery of their heritage that now surrounds her.
